Cheddar has a lot of recs for your viewing pleasure (and listening) pleasure this weekend from podcasts to reality TV.

True Crime with Kendall Rae - Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube

Picked by Growth Associate Keara O’Driscoll

I’m hopping on the true crime train with this YouTube series-turned-podcast. I like this podcast because its purpose is to shed light on these cases for the sake of the victims and their families. If you’re into true crime, I’d definitely check this one out.

Snowfall: Series Finale - FX/Hulu

Picked by Lawrence Banton

If you're a frequent reader of this column then you've definitely seen the late John Singleton's Snowfall make a few appearances here — but this time it is final. The series wrapped up on Wednesday, and I feel like this is my last chance to drive some new eyes to a truly amazing show. It spanned six seasons, and the ending — what an ending! It was tragic to say the least, but a very, very realistic way to close the show. By the end of it all, the main man Franklin Saint, played by Damson Idris, was nearly unrecognizable, and the depiction of the reality that greed, selfishness, and addiction can ruin lives was executed perfectly.

Florida Man - Netflix

Picked by Senior Editor Dina Ross

When in Florida, do not — I repeat — do not do as this Florida man does. A corrupt former cop in Philadelphia finds himself back home in central Florida to find the girlfriend of his mobster boss. That's when his past catches up with him. This dark comedy starring Edgar Ramirez, Abby Lee, Emory Cohen, and Clark Gregg, takes twists and turns that will have you both covering your eyes and laughing out loud.

Redefined: J.R. Smith - Prime Video

Picked by Digital Editor Mike Nam

To many New York Knicks fans, J.R. Smith was a frustratingly streaky shooter during some very difficult years for the NBA team, but his story is more than just what was on the court. The former guard, who was drafted out of high school at the age of 19, has enrolled at the HBCU, North Carolina A&T — and Prime Video is along for the ride. The star athlete hits the books and also tries to hit the links, joining the school's golf team as part of his latest adventure.

American Experience: The Sun Queen - PBS

Picked by Newsletter Writer Graison Dangor

Women in science have had their work stolen, careers sabotaged, and even their physical safety threatened just for daring to exist in the same space as men. Against all odds, some women still manage to break new ground and advance knowledge that helps us all. In a new episode of its American Experience docuseries, PBS is giving one of these pioneers, Mária Telkes, long-overdue recognition for her work advancing solar energy, which includes creating the first solar-heated home and discovering sodium sulfate's ability to store solar energy.

Vanderpump Rules - Peacock

Picked by Reporter Alex Vuocolo

Vanderpump Rules has been on air for a decade, and recent seasons have definitely been less compelling than those delicious early years. With that in mind, I'd urge everyone to check out the season currently airing. A high-profile cheating scandal, which was actually revealed after the filming of the current run, has added an extra layer of tension to some already pretty compelling dramas. Hardcore fans already know all this, but for lapsed viewers, I recommend tuning in.
