Wondering what to watch this weekend? This week we suggest some of the toughest people out there: socialites, comedians, celebrities and anyone hosting Thanksgiving dinner.

The Gilded Age: Season 2 - Max

Picked by Senior Editor Dina Ross

After nearly a two-year break, New York City's most elite families continue their dramatic march to the top of society in this HBO period piece. It's the late 1800's and Bertha Russell (Carrie Coons) and her railroad tycoon husband (based on the real-life Vanderbilt family) are making waves as they try to infiltrate Manhattan's opera scene. Will the old-money sisters Mrs. Van Rhijn and Ada Brook (Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon) or Mrs. Astor (Donna Murphy) stop them? While the concern over the fictional opera house wars might not seem particularly deep, the age-old fight over wealth and power never gets old. The series is beautifully shot, the actors do it justice, and with just one episode dropping each week, it keeps me coming back for more each Sunday.

Dark Side of Comedy - Vice TV

Picked by Lawrence Banton

If you're into stand-up comedy, consider checking out this docuseries by Vice TV. The series explores the lives of various comics, their personal struggles off-stage, and how they navigated the industry's pressure. One of my favorite stories featured Joan Rivers and her ascent to mainstream stardom. I knew show business was dirty but to see how "the powers that be" aka Johnny Carson attempted to derail her career was a pretty cool fact to learn. Other stories include Robin Williams, Carlos Mencia (that was a trip) and Ellen DeGeneres. New episodes drop each Tuesday.

Special Forces: World's Toughest Test Season 2 - Fox, Hulu & Tubi

Picked by Keara O’Driscoll

JoJo Siwa, Tyler Cameron, and Tom Sandoval are just some celebrities “joining forces” on Fox’s reality survival show. Ex-military personnel train and test celebs to see how far they can go in some strenuous environments to see if they have what it takes to make it through the Special Forces selection.

From My Bowl - YouTube

Picked by Newsletter Writer Graison Dangor

When I started looking for Thanksgiving recipes last week, the first place I went was Caitlin Shoemaker's YouTube channel. Her recipes are healthful and homey and the videos are easy to reference while you're cooking. She also has a lot more recipes on her blog, which is organized really well.
