'AIR' HIT THEATERS
Air, starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, officially hits theaters on Wednesday. The film is based on the story of Nike in the 1980s as the company attempts to sign Michael Jordan to a sneaker deal. Damon plays Sonny Vaccaro, a sports executive who worked at the nascent sneaker giant and played a significant role in creating the partnership between Jordan and the company.
NEW NETFLIX SERIES
A new thriller series called The Diplomat, starring Keri Russell, is coming to Netflix. Russell plays the U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom. When she arrives in London, she is tasked with stopping a war before it starts, while also trying to save her marriage to a former ambassador.
CATAN MAKER DIES
Klaus Teuber, who created the Catan board game, has died at 70. The game, which was originally called The Settlers of Catan and hit shelves in 1995, pitched players against each other on a fictional island, where they battled for resources.
