Ozempic has over 600 million views on TikTok. The FDA approved the drug for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and insulin resistance back in 2017, but more recently it's gotten attention for helping users lose weight, and many are wondering if it's safe. 

The Cut recently published a piece talking to multiple people  who are actually taking Ozempic explicitly for weight loss, a practice that has generated plenty of controversy online. While the health implications of this are still being worked out, functional medicine practitioner Dr. Gabrielle Lyon stopped by Cheddar News to talk about other ways to drop some weight.
