These are the headlines you Need 2 Know. * **Senate Race:** Mississippi GOP Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith defeated Democratic challenger Mike Espy in a runoff election, the final race to be decided in this year’s midterms. The race gained attention when Hyde-Smith said she would be “on the front row” at a “public hanging,” which drew outrage given Mississippi’s history of lynchings. She later apologized. Hyde-Smith’s win means the Republicans will have a 53-seat majority in the Senate. Trump tweeted: "The U.S. saved General Motors, and this is the THANKS we get!" GM does not appear to receive any significant subsidies from the government beyond the industry-wide tax credit for electric vehicles, but that goes to the consumer. That executive, a former British politician, admitted that it was “not great” that Mark Zuckerberg didn’t show up to answer questions. One legislator said he had evidence that a Facebook employee knew as early as 2014 of a major data breach that had Russian fingerprints all over it. Hillenburg started out as a marine biology teacher but later switched to animation. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karen ー the character Karen Plankton is named after her ー and a son, Clay. The bovine, named Knickers, would produce 1,400 pounds of meat, but because it’s so big it can’t fit into the slaughterhouse so the owner says it will live out its days in the pasture.
