Lisa Marie Presley, 54, was pronounced dead on Friday.
The news comes just days after the singer and her mother Priscilla were spotted on the red carpet of the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. The two were in attendance to watch Austin Butler take home the best lead actor in a drama award for his role in Elvis.
Presley was admitted to a California hospital after suffering from cardiac arrest at home on Thursday. Her ex-husband Danny Keough performed CPR for several minutes before paramedics arrived on the scene.
"Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie," a statement from the family said. "They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."
Presley's death also comes days after she celebrated what would have been her father Elvis' 88th birthday.
News about her passing swept social media and the tributes continue to pour in.
Presley is set to be laid to rest at Graceland in Tennessee next to her late son Benjamin, who passed away in the summer of 2020.
