From Trevor Noah's new podcast to the statue Adele demanded, here's what's happening in entertainment.

Trevor Noah's Pod

As Spotify pulls the plug on some of its biggest named podcasts, the audio streaming giant is fortifying its place in the podcast world by replacing them with some pretty heavy hitters.

Trevor Noah is the latest celebrity host to sign with Spotify for a weekly show. His show, while original, will not be exclusive to the platform. Many of the notable hosts on the platform had signed exclusive deals, like Barack and Michelle Obama, Joe Rogan, Alex Cooper and Emma Chamberlain, but some of those deals are not going to continue.

Since leaving The Daily Show last September, Noah launched the Netflix comedy special I Wish You Would, hosted the 2023 Grammys, and took up executive producing duties on the revitalized Mock the Week, which is slated to being filming for Amazon Freevee in 2024.

"I've always been somebody who enjoys trying new things and exploring different ways to express what I do," Noah told Variety. "[Podcasting] just gives me an opportunity to expand a little bit more on some of the elements that television doesn't necessarily allow you to as much – which is long form."

The unnamed show is set to premiere later this year.

Bebe Rexha Assault

A New Jersey man has been charged with assaulting singer Bebe Rexha.

The NYPD charged 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault and harassment after he lobbed a cellphone at Rexha during a performance at Pier 17 in New York City over the weekend.

Video of the phone hitting the singer in the face went viral on social media. The hit caused Rexha fell to the floor before she was escorted off stage and sent to a local hospital. The result was a black eye and the multiple stitches to repair the wound.

Rolling Stone reported that Malvagna thought it would garner some laughs. "I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny," he reportedly said.

Meanwhile, Rexha is moving forward from the incident. She posted a picture on Instagram that showed her swollen and stitched up eye with the caption, "Im good."

Adele's House

Last summer singer Adele made a major purchase in Beverly Hills.

She reportedly bought the old home of the legendary Sylvester Stallone for a staggering $58 million (still a huge discount after it was originally listed at $110 million). Now she's renovating the place but in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, Stallone revealed the deal could have fallen apart over one specific piece of decor.

Apparently, Adele needed the Rocky statue that overlooks the pool to stay put. Stallone said she was set on having the statue and while he wanted to bring it with him, he liked her plans for the home and decided to let her hold on to it.
