Margot Robbie, who plays the titular Barbie, apparently gave Gosling, who plays her love interest Ken, a "pink present with a pink bow" each day of shooting. Usually the presents were beach-related, because Ken's job is just "beach" — though Gosling admitted he still wasn't sure exactly what that meant.

The study by USC Annenberg's Norman Lear Center outlined a number of recommendations, including showing fictional characters engaging in best practices such as storing and locking away firearms. It also called on TV and film creators to help drive the national conversation around gun violence by appealing to common values of safety and presenting nuanced and diverse depictions of victims of gun violence.
