From marvelous women leads to heavy memoirs, here are you top entertainment headlines for Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

'The Marvels' Teaser

Fans of Marvel Studios are feasting as new content from Phase Five of its cinematic universe continues to pour out of Hollywood. Now, with the release of the trailer for The Marvels — the sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel, the Disney-owned brand continues a trend breaking down barriers with this woman-dominated cast, featuring Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), and Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonna Parris). The movie will track the fallout from the first film and the Disney+ shows WandaVision and Ms. Marvel to show how the trio are interconnected through their transformative super powers.

Meanwhile, Sir Anthony Hopkins is gearing up for a return to the big screen as he takes on the role of the father of modern psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud in Freud's Last Session. He's set to star alongside Matthew Goode, playing the writer and academic C.S. Lewis. The story follows the pair as they link up to debate the existence of God. Deadline reported that the film is in its final stages of shooting in Ireland, but no release date for the project has been revealed so far.

NFL Sunday Ticket

YouTube is gearing up to launch NFL Sunday Ticket after its exclusive run on DirecTV for the past 30 years. The premium service is being offered to subscribers at a discounted rate of $249 if they sign up before June 6. Non-subscribers have to shell out $449 to access the service.

Also being offered is a bundle package that includes NFL Redzone for $389 for subscribers and $489 for non-subscribers.

"We didn’t want to give this away for free or anything. There was a real opportunity to price this in a smart way, and we worked really closely with the NFL," Christian Oestlien, VP of YouTube TV's product management, told CNBC.

Brittney Griner Memoir

Brittney Griner is ready to break her silence about her near 10-month incarceration in Russia in a new memoir. The WNBA star was arrested in 2022 on drug charges after a vape pen with hash oil was found in her luggage at the airport in Moscow.

"That day (in February) was the beginning of an unfathomable period in my life which only now I am ready to share," Griner said in a statement.

"Readers will hear my story and understand why I'm so thankful for the outpouring of support from people across the world," she added.

Griner's forthcoming book, so far, has not been titled but is slated for a 2024 release.
