From revisiting potential charges for Alec Baldwin to a Coldplay lawsuit, here's what's happening in entertainment.

'Rust Shooting Update'

In April, an involuntary manslaughter charge was dismissed against actor Alec Baldwin for the deadly shooting on the set of the movie Rust, but he might not be in the clear.

Baldwin claimed he never pulled the trigger of the gun he was using, only pointed it as instructed, when it went off and fatally struck cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. However, a second expert report now says the trigger had to have been pulled or depressed for it to shoot.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the weapons expert on the set, is facing involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering charges. The special prosecutor on the case told the Associated Press that the officer will release a formal announcement on whether it will refile charges against Baldwin, but did not say when the news would be released.

Coldplay Sued

Members of the British rock band Coldplay are facing a lawsuit filed by ex-manager Dave Holmes.

Holmes, who worked for the band for more than two decades, is alleging a contractual dispute, according to Variety, although specific details have not been made public.

The band and Holmes quietly parted ways a year ago.

'Barbie' History

The Barbie movie is already the year's most successful box office blockbuster but now it has also etched its way into Warner Bros. history. Greta Gerwig's directorial magnum opus has surpassed Christopher Nolan's iconic 2008 smash The Dark Knight as the highest-grossing domestic release in the company's history.

So far, the film has raked up more than $530 million in the U.S. and will grab a new audience next month: the film is set to arrive on streaming on September 5, according to Variety.
