Paris Games, NBC Coverage

The 2024 Paris games are just around the corner if you can believe it or not, and NBC has a revamped plan to ensure fans can watch all the action.

If you recall the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, NBC opted to air taped coverage mainly because of the 13-hour time difference between New York and Japan. This time around, the network is set to air events as they occur.

Since Paris is just six hours ahead of the U.S. Eastern Time Zone, the plan is to air the most popular events in the morning and afternoon as live. Then, a three-hour show featuring other major events, behind-the-scenes coverage, and athlete interviews are slated for prime time.

For those who don't want to miss a second of the action, NBC's Peacock streaming platform will feature every event in each sport and offer the option for replays.

The games will be held between July 26 and August 11, 2024.

Secret Invasion Update

We're learning more detail about Marvel's highly-anticipated Secret Invasion series, the latest project in the MCU to get the episodic treatment on Disney+. Spanning six episodes, fans will meet back up with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury after we last saw him in Spider-Man: No Way Home

A new trailer shows Nick Fury back on Earth after having spent time in the depths of space. It had been revealed that the Fury during No Way Home was in fact the shapeshifting Talos (played by Ben Mendelsohn) pretending to be the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The new trailer features a star-studded cast for the first TV series of Marvel's Phase 5. Olivia Colman plays an MI6 agent, Don Cheadle returns as James 'Rhodey' Rhodes (it remains to be seen if he will suit up as War Machine), and Martin Freeman reprises his role as Everett K. Ross after being rescued by the Wakandans in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

And in-case you were wondering, Secret Invasion is being billed as an espionage thriller, so strap in!
