From the sentencing of Tory Lanez to the cancellation of the Made in America festival, here's what's happening in entertainment.

Tory Sentenced

Tory Lanez is set to spend up to 10 years in prison for shooting shooting and injuring rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Lanez was found guilty on all three charges Los Angeles prosecutors brought against him, which include assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm and negligent discharge of a gun. The sentencing comes three years after the shooting incident which happened after a night out at Kylie Jenner's Calabasas home.

Prior to the sentencing, Megan Thee Stallion sent a letter to the judge overseeing the case and call for the harshest sentence, accusing Lanez of failing to show any remorse and said, in part, "For once, the defendant must be forced to face the full consequences of his heinous actions and face justice."

M.I.A Canceled

One of the biggest festivals of the year in Made In America has been canceled with no explanation.

Organizers announced the news on social media and attributed the cancellation to "severe circumstances outside of production control." Lizzo and SZA were slated to headline the two-day festival on Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The cancellation comes just days after former dancers for Lizzo filed a lawsuit against the pop star citing sexual harassment and a hostile work environment. She has since denied those claims.

Philadelphia will likely feel the blow from the canceled show as the festival has generated over $180 million in revenue for the city, according to Variety.

Travis Returns to Houston

Nearly two years after the Astroworld tragedy, Travis Scott is set to perform again in Houston but not everyone is onboard.

Scott will take the stage at the Toyota Center in October but the Houston Police Officers' Union opposes the performance.

"Like most we were in complete disbelief," union president Douglas Griffith said in a statement.

The news comes just weeks after a grand jury declined to indict Scott in the deaths of 10 people who died during the Astroworld festival.
