A plane bound for the U.S. made a shocking emergency landing on Sunday. This video was captured as a cargo plane leaving Luxembourg for Chicago was forced to return to the runway for an emergency landing when its landing gear failed to retract. Part of the landing gear then snapped off during the emergency landing. Thankfully, the airline confirmed there were no injuries to either the crew on the plane or on the ground.
COAST GUARD RESCUE
At an Oregon beach on Sunday, the U.S. Coast Guard was called to help a swimmer in distress. Because the beach is flanked by high cliffs, and the water was rough that day, a Jayhawk helicopter was the best and safest way to perform the rescue. She was successfully lifted from the water and transported to a state park safely and in stable condition.
At least two people have died, thousands of U.S. flights have been canceled and more than 1 million have lost power as destructively strong storms move through the eastern U.S.
