Update: Roku and Fox Corporation came to an agreement late Friday night. In addition to all the methods below, you will be able to watch Super Bowl LIV using the FOX app on Roku.

Roku users who want to stream Super Bowl LIV on Sunday may not be able to use the FOX app to watch the game.

However, it’s not time to panic. There may be other ways to watch the Big Game without officially watching through the broadcast partner.

Roku’s distribution agreement with Fox Corporation, the parent company of FOX, expires on January 31. Roku told Cheddar it offered an extension to allow the Super Bowl and other programming to still stream on the platform, but Fox declined their offer. If no agreement is reached by the end of the day Friday, the company said it will be forced to remove all Fox channels from its platform because it does not have the legal right to distribute its channels, although Roku said the talks are ongoing.

A Fox Corporation spokesperson responded in a statement to the conflict writing that "Roku's tactics are a poorly timed negotiating ploy, fabricating a crisis with no thought for the alarm it generated among its own customers. Even if Roku unilaterally decides to remove FOX apps, savvy Roku customers know Super Bowl LIV on FOX will be ubiquitously available through streaming providers, FOX apps on the biggest streaming platforms and our website."

But fear not football fans! This doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t watch the game on your Roku. Here are some alternate apps and services you can use if the deal doesn’t come through. Many of these are subscription-based, but offer free trials for new customers.

NFL, which will stream the game for free (unless FOX blocks the feed)

Alternately, you could also check out these non-Roku options: * FOX Sports website * FOX Sports app on your Android device, iPhone, iPad, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, Xbox One, and Samsung Smart TVs * Watching local FOX station (if you have cable or satellite subscription, a television antenna, or a strong signal for the FOX affiliate in your area) * Your local bar (highly likely but not guaranteed by Cheddar)

Happy viewing!
