More than 80 percent of women get hot flashes as a part of menopause, and until now, there were limited treatment options available. Women who have a history of heart attack, stroke, or blood clots can't take hormonal treatments, but this new drug targets the brain chemicals that control temperature. A recent study showed that it costs American women $1.8 billion dollars a year in lost productivity.
