Director Sam Hoffman Talks His New Film "Humor Me" and CBS's "Madam Secretary"
Writer/director Sam Hoffman discusses his new movie "Humor Me" and sheds some light on the future of the CBS drama "Madam Secretary".
Hoffman makes his feature directorial debut with "Humor Me", starring Jemaine Clement and Elliot Gould. The film explores the life of a struggling playwright forced to move back in with his father.
Hoffman is also a producer and occasional director of the CBS drama "Madam Secretary". Hoffman can't say much about the future of the show, but he can't rule out a presidential run for main character Elizabeth McCord, played by Tea Leoni.
The Emmy-winning actor died at age 61 after a brief illness. Braugher was best known for starring as Det. Frank Pembleton in the critically acclaimed 1990s series "Homicide: Life on the Street" and as the deceptively stone-faced Capt. Ray Holt on the comedy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" in 2013-2021.
